BeeMail is a system that lets you attach large files to e-mail messages, and send them in a fast, reliable, and secure way. BeeMail is composed of the Beehive SendFile Secure file transfer system, as well as the BeeMail Proxy.
The BeeMail Proxy links the Beehive desktop client to your favorite e-mail application. You set up your e-mail client to send your outgoing messages through the BeeMail proxy. The BeeMail proxy analyzes your outgoing messages, separates the attachments from the message body and sends them through the Beehive secure file transfer client. It adds a URL to your e-mail message that the recipient(s) can click on to retrieve their files. After completing the file transfer, the BeeMail Proxy connects to your outgoing mail server, and sends off your e-mail.
The BeeMail Proxy only processes messages with large attachments. By default, the total message size must be larger than 512 kilobytes to be processed. Smaller messages are sent "as is" without further processing. See the BeeMail Configuration page to find out how to change the message size threshold.
BeeMail Proxy comes as a 30-day free trial. After the trial period, it must be purchased. See the Licensing page for more details.
