Why would a movie about the collapse of the global financial system comfort Meg when she needs comforting? Why does Eli consistently turn to a movie with a bad script and not a single likable character? There is no science to comfort movies, there is only the warm, welcome feeling one gets when watching a film they inexplicably love.
